Call Junction Mitigation Bank
Ironwood Resource Advisors is thrilled to announce the approval of the highly anticipated Call Junction Mitigation Bank (CJMB) in Jasper County, Texas. This significant development will generate over 26,000 stream credits, marking the first and only approved stream mitigation credits in the Lower Sabine Watershed within the USACE Galveston District.
The Call Junction service area encompasses the entire Lower Sabine and portions of the Toledo Bend Reservoir watersheds, making it an ideal solution to offset unavoidable stream impacts resulting from growth projects planned in Texas’s southeast region. The mitigation credits available at Call Junction will play a crucial role in supporting essential infrastructure, including industry and public works projects in Orange County, as well as transportation improvements in Newton and Jasper Counties.
Mitigation banks like Call Junction offer a vital private sector solution for off-site compensatory mitigation for impacts to jurisdictional wetlands and streams, as authorized by the USACE under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act. This initiative not only aids in compliance with environmental regulations but also promotes sustainable development practices, ensuring that growth is balanced with environmental stewardship.
